How it works
Everybody shouts
First right answer takes the round. Shout the wrong thing and you're out of it — and set back one space.
First to 18 wins
The quicker you shout, the further you move. Then the phone goes to the next person to read the next card.
Clue cards
Eight clues per card.
One answer, eight clues. The reader works down the list — the screen shows the first few and scrolls to all eight — while the table falls apart. When somebody shouts it, the reader taps who got it and the phone moves on.

The hidden squares
Name your stake before you hear the question.
Three squares on the board are hidden, and they change places in every game. Land on the bonus square and you're asked how many spaces you're willing to risk. Right, you move that far. Wrong, you go back that far. Have a go:
Clued in
Pick a number. You haven't heard the question yet — that's the whole point.
Clued out
And two squares you'd rather not find.
You sit the next card out. No shouting, however much you know it. Watching somebody else win a card you could have taken is, we're told, character-building.
Each hidden square fires once. First one there takes it, and it's gone for everyone else.
The board
Eighteen squares to the finish.
Everyone starts together — nobody is ever more than two good cards from the front, which is why it stays loud right to the end.
Two players and up. It gets louder the more of you there are.
Ages 8 and up
The Kids library is its own game.
A whole library written for younger players — clues about bees and volcanoes and the things they've actually been taught this year.
Same board. Same rules. Same shouting. The difference is that this time the eight-year-old wins, in front of witnesses, and nobody had to let them.
